Learning is easier when a student has a teacher who is excited about learning, is a trained expert in her field, cares about the growth of the student, and brings energy to each session. I am passionate about literacy and I bring this enthusiasm into each student lesson.

Along with a prescriptive and diagnostic response to teaching reading, writing, and spelling, I put an emphasis on multi-sensory instruction within a structure that has been proven to have a positive impact on learning. Each lesson is explicit, direct, and sequential.

I can suggest materials to give continued practice at home. I provide ongoing communication with parents in the form of telephone calls, zoom meetings, emails, formal reports, and will gladly attend IEPs when invited. I will consult with school staff who desire a relationship that benefits the student.
